Week 3 Post

Since the Internet is used to provide people with global information and instant communication, it would be very important for me to market my product on a marketing website. By doing this, I could educate interested customers about the product so that they know why it might be useful to them, how it works, what it looks like, how much it costs, etc. By placing ads for my product or a link to my website on other websites that attract fellow skiers, especially racers who are interested in high-tech gear, I could easily market the product to a larger audience.

When making my own website, I would be interested in creating a unique domain name such as www.simpleski.com. I would incorporate both hypertext and hypermedia on my Web page. Graphic images would be a very important component because an interested customer would most likely not purchase such a product without knowledge of what it looks like.

In order to create this website I would need to follow a set of instructions including planning the site, analyzing and designing the site, creating the site, putting it on a Web server, and registering with search engines. After doing these things, my site would most likely show up if an internet use did a search containing words such as "ski", "boot", or "race". After creating the site it would be very important for me to update it regularly with any new information and to make sure that everything was working properly.
